Default confirmation on steps to revert to old ZASS

Okay, I just want to make sure that I've got all my steps right before I start this (not so easy, very scary) process to get this bug-wracked 'new' 8.0.020 off my computer.
I should follow all the steps that you posted in http://forums.zonelabs.com/zonelabs/...message.id=103
But before I do that, and before I do any future ZASS update 'clean install' I should follow the instructions on http://forums.zonelabs.com/zonelabs/...ssage.id=80568
to uncheck "load ZoneAlarm at start-up"?
I would think that that would be a step that should be explained in the process of any and all updates, especially for those of us
    that click "clean install".
Once I've cleared out the bad version - I don't remember which version I had on there before.
Would it most likely be the 7.0.483 version for my Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite (which by the way I love - except for
    two past
    bad 'upgrades').
And I can type in my current License number to activate it?
I just want to make sure I've got all my steps in front of me before I start this process.
    Thank you in advance

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Software Version:8.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

Thank you - it took a while, but the steps did work reverting my computer back to ZASS 7.
