    Default Problems after upgrading to ZASS 8.0

    I have used ZoneAlarm for about 5 years and have installed all 7 of my computers. But this is the first time that I have experienced terrible performance. After upgrading to ZASS 8.0 everything has slowed down so much that I have had to disable ZASS just to get on this forum. Because I keep getting the message that the Network Timed Out and the page can not be displayed. I believe that it is due to the On-Access setting on the Anti-Virus section. I disable this setting and get the message from Windows that my Anti-Virus is disabled and somehow it gets enabled within a minute.

    I am running Windows XP Pro.

    Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? I am concerned that I am going to have to find another product.

    As a ZA Security Suite User you can contact ZoneAlarm Tech support Directly for Free.. (preferably with IE Browser)

    Please provide as much detail about your Computer and the problem you are havingThe more Details and Error Messages displaied, the better it will be for Tech support to figure out a solution for you..

    Have also upgraded to ZASS 8 and now having problem at shutdown. System is taking between 12-14 minutes to shutdown after displaying 'Saving your Settings' Problem only started after ZASS 8 upgrade. If I shutdown ZASS prior to shutting down system the system will shutdown as normal after 30 seconds. Am running Win XP Pro SP3. Windows Support only mentions to have latest SP.
    Any suggestions. Thanks.

    Hi!sounds like your upgrade have corrupted the ZA settings.Did you tried to reset them? This way:1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
    2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
    3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
    4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
    5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
    6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after rebootIf the above fails try a complete full removal of ZA. See here how to do it:,Fax
