    Default ZA Pro fixed ver 8 problems?

    Dear ZA Forum Gurus and Users,

    I am still awaiting a response from ZA Tech Support regarding my problems with ZA Pro 8 and I have given up on it.

    Can anyone tell me if the latest version 8.0.020.000 is safe to install?

    I installed 8.0.015.000 around two weeks ago and had a lot of problems following the install.

    I've been away for two weeks and a perusal of this forum just now has shown a lot of other users experiencing a lot of problems with it as well.

    I also noted the Gurus oft repeated advice to downgrade to 7.0.483.000 which I have already done.

    So I would be grateful if anybody could tell me whether they think 8.0.020.000 is now a stable release or should an inexperienced (and somewhat nervous) newbie like me wait until the green light is given by the forum gurus and users.

    I would suggest that you wait until you get reassurance in the forum that the problems have been addressed or ZA issues an update on the current version 8.

    Hi, not sure if same problem but similar circumstances.

    I have a clean installation of vista ultimate, on top of which i have installed ZASS 8.0.020.000.

    All went well, that is until 5 mins into a session, the dreaded blue screen appeared. Without warning or any noticeable activity and or messages.
    I've been searching all over for comments/advice but none so far.

    The only way i can use pc now is to disable ZASS startup - so effectively running without any protection other than windows firewall.

    I understood this ver to be a significant update from previous.

    My only other option is to uninstall latest ver and revert to previous version of which I know is stable.

    Sorry could not be of any further use other than highlight a similar event.

    I have to laugh.
    I got an email to rate ZA support on
    my issue with ZASS 8 today.
    Keep in mind I contacted them VIA webform and I got a case number sent to me in my email.
    Funny part nobody from ZA ever contacted me to work the problem issue.

    Not my ISP or Spam filter.
    Email address give was a yahoo address.
    Email not junked before and it was not in spam folder.

    Hi!Well, the automated system works only if the e-mail goes actually out ...Use hotmail and re-submit, see if this time it works If you do not get the response (check the spam folders) and get back the survey, post the ticket number here.Cheers,Fax

    I don't understand...I filled out the form on zonealarm website, got an email confirming my issue with a number and receive

    a request for survey on my yahoo email account, but the actual response from the techs won't work on my yahoo email account.


    Did I miss something?!....... or am I just an *****?

    A survey is sent 48 hours after an agent responds to your request andno response is recieved during that 48 hours thus its assumed what was sent helped. So a survey is sent out.Forum Moderator
