Thread: ZA 7.0.483.000 not working

    Default ZA 7.0.483.000 not working


    All of a sudden ZA not working correctly. All new programs being blocked as you installed them. Internet connection is reset at every log on. To get new programs to run, have to turn off ZA, run program and then turn ZA back on.

    Any ideas....


    OS XP home SP3
    2 gig of ram

    Try resetting your database. Keep in mind that you will lose all settings within ZoneAlarm. If you usually rely on the default settings, this poses no problem for you.
    1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
    2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
    3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
    4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
    5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
    6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot.<hr>What version of ZA firewall do you have? ZA Free, ZA Suite, ZA Pro, ZA AV ? List other security software. Any new software installed just prior to problems? All Systems Active? In windows task manager - make sure there is only one - zlclient, vsmon.exe.<hr>- Make sure ZA's Firewall &gt; Main &gt; Internet Zone &gt; High, Trusted Zone
    &gt; Medium, not high.
    - You may want to set 'Program Control' &gt; to Medium or Auto-Learn - for a while.<hr>:8}NaiveMelody NYC 9-16-08 - No Woman, No Cry - Fugees
