    Hi!
you will need to keep the old version since ZASS 8 requires your MS OS to be updated.

    Cheers,

    Hi,
My wife just upgraded to the 8.xxxx version of ZA and is having a bunch of problems (slow operation, no printing, etc.).
If I understood your answer, the latest ZA version requires that SP3 (for XP Home) be installed.
I know that this hasn't been installed since I just saw a popup announcing the availability of this upgrade.
When we attempted to install SP3 we got a window saying that it could not be installed.
What are her options at this point?

To recap, when my wife upgraded to 8.0.059.000 she lost the ability to access her printer.
If I shut down the security suite, there are no printing issues.
When I reactivate the security suite and try to print a Word document, the result is a lot of computer activity, finally resulting in a message saying that the printer is not responding.
If I tell it to stop trying, I end up with the window showing the printer setup.
This shows no printer selected, even though the attached printer is designated as the default.
If I click on this printer, nothing happens.
I have succeeded in installing SP 3.
Any suggestions as to how to make ZA work?
    Bob

It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country,
without All the Details, without the ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on..
1.) if this is a Paralle or USB printer, you may need to GrantTrusted and Internet Access and maybe even Trusted Server Rights in Program Control..2.) if this is a Network Printer with it's own IP Number, then you may need to List the Printer IP in your Firewall/Zones section as Trusted..ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:8.0.059.000
