I've been using Security Suite for some time, and decided to give **bleep** Software's "VIPRE" a go, so installed that. It doesn't include a firewall, so I thought I would download ZA free as protection.
Now, I didn't want to be unprotected firewall-wise while I did this, so left Security Suite running while I downloaded ZA. The download appeared to be only a couple of hundred K, and when I ran it it said it was "Zonealarm Switch" - and the installation failed with a BSOD. This happened twice, and I had to uninstall all ZA functions in safe mode: rebooted and ran OK although a Windoze message said the computer had "recovered from a serious error".
I reinstalled Security Suite and again downloaded ZA free: this time it was about a hundred Mb and, when run, generated multiple warnings from VIPRE. I clicked "Allow" on all of these. After a few minutes the installation stopped with a message "You do not have access to make the configuration changes".
A VIPRE scan found a file "GLB1F.tmp" in a folder which doesn't seem to exist "Documents and settings~1".
Do I have a problem, please?
