    Default ZA blocks my internet connection

    Hello,

    I'm sorry if this problem already posted somewhere else. I'm a newbie and don't have time to check the whole forum yet.

    I'm happy to have ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite (ZA) installed in my PC. It works well, nothing's wrong with my internet connection. The version I have with the licence is 7.0.337.000 but the licence can be used to upgrade to the latest version. Then I updated my PC with OS Windows XP Pro SP3. Now my internet connection is blocked

    What can I do? I really like this software, and have no idea to change to another one...
    Please help me. Thanks in advance

    If you would Describe your Computer Setup/OS and Version of Zone Alarm that you are having a problem with
    and what difficulty you are having, and what Previous Version of ZA and Norton, McAfee or other Security programs that you have installed,
    there are several very knowledgeable Volunteer Participants willing to help you try solving your problem with Zone Alarm..
    1.) In early July 2008 MicroSoft Released an Update after Service Pack 3, that Blocked Conectivity to the Internet for several Firewall programs and Affected versions of ZoneAlarm before version 7.0.483.000..So if you are still using ZASS 7.0.337.000, then you need to Update ZA to 7.0.483.000 or the New ZASS 8.0.059.000http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...seHistory.html2.) if you have Upgraded ZASS and still have a problem Connecting to the Internet then there are several things to Check..a.) First make sure that You have Conection to the Internet without ZoneAlarm.. Right click on the ZA tray Icon and Click Shut down ZASS.. Now try to Access the Internet without Zone Alarm.. (IE Browser, check for Email) If that does not work, then the Problem was not ZoneAlarm.If everything works without ZoneAlarm &lt; then Restart Zone Alarm..b.) Double Click ZA Tray Icon, click on Firewall / Main tab.. Set Internet Security Zone = High, Trusted Security Zone = Mediumc,) Firewall - Zones, Place every thing listed in the Trusted Zone, Network, DNS, DHCP, Loopback Adapter( if your using a Laptop to Connect to HOT-SPOT, or Librays etc.. the set to Internet Zone..)--------------------------------------------------------
