    Default Can't Get ZA to work?

    Hi guys!
    First let me say that yes--I did do a search, but due to time constraints, I wasn't able to do a thorough search.

    I have a laptop with WinVista Home Premium.
    I first got it last month.
    The first thing I did was install ZoneAlarm (free).
    Everything was working smoothly.
    Then yesterday I started getting a message that TrueVector had to close.
    I'd accept this and it would immediately pop up again.
    I thought I should upgrade to the latest version--so I stopped ZA from loading on start up (using MSCONFIG--I can't open the ZA interface to uncheck the "Load on Startup" option there), rebooted and uninstalled ZA.
    All seemed to go smoothly.
    But then when I attempted to run the ZA installer, I'm once again getting a message that the setup.exe could not log in to TrueVector.
    It told me to go thru the Services manager and shut down TrueVector and try again.
    But when I look at Services Mgr, TrueVector isn't even listed--how can I get the installer to realize that TrueVector isn't installed so that it can reinstall it?
    I thought maybe ZA was having trouble with WinVista--so I upgraded to WinVista Home Premium SP1 this morning.
    That didn't help--no change in results.
    The reason that I say I'm on a time constraint is that I'm givign this pc as a Christmas gift for my 16YO neice.
    This problem just started happening last night--they are showing up tomorrow night to stay with us until Christmas--so I won't have too much chance to work on it (I don't want her to see it before Christmas).
    If someone can help me figure this out, I'd be ever so grateful!

    Yes--I searched here. But I wasn't able to spend a lot of time searching. I guess I didn't use the right search terms.

    I usually do an extensive search before asking in a forum--sometimes spending hours searching first--but last night was the only time I could get online.

    Thanks for the link--I'm working my way through the process now.
