Default Blue Screen...

Well, this has been an on going process.
http://forums.zonelabs.com/zonelabs/...d=83773#M83773http://forums.zonelabs.com/zonelabs/...d=83966#M83966
I just restored my laptop two day's ago, uninstalled Acer eLock and eData Security Mgmnt.
I then downloaded and installed the latest version of ZoneAlarm Free,
everything went well, that was yesterday.
This morning, I tried booting but
it kept blue screen-ing (at the welcome screen) with with a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. I got this twice, booted into safe mode, disabled ZA from startup, tried booting again, got another blue screen, different error, but debugging revealed same problem. Booted into safe mode, uninstalled ZA, rebooted, and here I am.
I have three memory dumps that can be uploaded if needed.
I just can't understand why it has worked in the past, I've been able to get back up and running, and then out of the blue (no pun intended) this happens.I would really love to keep ZoneAlarm as my firewall, I will (and have) greatly appreciate any help.
I'm going to clean my system of anything ZA and eLock
related and will try another install.

Edit- I'm back, I booted into safe mode and deleted the temp files, reg entries, superfetch etc.. from the uninstall guide. I rebooted, downloaded ZA, installed, it rebooted, intialized, and everything worked, I manually rebooted, and when it came back to the welcome screen it blue screened with DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I can upload this memory dump as well.

Operating System:
Windows Vista Home Premium
Software Version:
8.0
Product Name:
ZoneAlarm (Free)

I don't recall you saying that you had an ACER computer in your last Trend..?

There are several Utilities in some Acer computers that Conflict with or Block ZoneAlarm..

I didn't mention it in my first post, I later mentioned it and was directed to those threads ^.Those threads mention to uninstall Acer eLock and eData Security Mgmnt. I did just that right after restoring my laptop, and this is where I am.

ZoneAlarm Customer Care

This Information Applies to:
All ZoneAlarm Products

Summary:

I am getting a Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) on my system with ZoneAlarm running.

Solution:

IMPORTANT - VERIFY THESE FIRST

Verify that you have only

- Windows 2000 Pro, XP Home/Pro Vista Home Premium 32-bit
- the very latest version of your ZoneAlarm product Yes
- the very latest drivers for all add-on hardware for your system Yes, Microsoft Update is up-to-date as well as everything else I can think off, memory stick adapters, video, sound, motherboard.
- the very latest video drivers for your graphics card Installed yesterday.
- ONE software firewall running (running multiple software firewalls is not supported) Currently only Windows, when ZA was installed it disabled Windows.

NOTE - If you run Spyware Doctor, be sure to run the Update option to avoid conflicts! Not installed

=======================

If ALL of the above conditions have been met, and you still experience the BSODs, please contact Technical Support at:

http://www.zonealarm.com/tsform

- Is the BSOD reproducible? Include step by step instructions for reproducing it. Install ZA, after ZA reboots and says it's installed, manually reboot or shutdown and boot.

- Do you get any specific error message or STOP code?

Dump 1 - PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)

Dump 2 - PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)

Dump 3 - PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)

Dump 4 - DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - this is after disabling ZA from startup through msconfig, then I
uninstalled ZA properly, rebooted,
no more errors.

- Did anything change right before the BSODs began? Installed ZA.

- What is your Operating System? Is it fully patched and updated? Vista Home Premium, SP1, up-to-date.

- Include your product name, and all of the version information given on Overview -> Product Info. Can't because not installed, I've been downloading ZA free, and would assume it downloads/installs latest version.

Would it help if I upload the dumps, or post them?
