Default Installation problems after subscription renewal

Hi, I initially had a problem with the license key in that I renewed my subscription but Zone Alarm reported that it had expired, I was then advised by the on line chat to uninstall the product with the /rmlicense switch. Now when I try and re-install the software I get an initial error of
"Windows can not access specified device, path or file you may not have permissions to access the item"

I click OK then another message pops up as follows:
"Could not execute the external program C:-Windows-System32-zonelabs-vsmon.exe"

Zone Alarm fails to start and when I reboot the computer I just get a plain wallpaper and no desktop icons.

The only way I can recover is to reboot PC in Safe mode and remove Zone Alarm, however I am left with no AV protection.

I have checked the online help but can not see any references to this problem

    Any Ideas Anyone

    Regards Rob

    Hi George
Thanks for your swift response, I did however manage to get it installed late last night, what I did was to reboot into safe mode and uninstall the the corrupted new version then rebooted and installed an early version 7 release, entered my license key then clicked the check for updates and updated to version 8. All seems to be working and the expiration is now 364 days.

    Many Thanks

    Rob
