    Default ZoneAlarm problems with Vista - Every new install causes problems

    Since V8 was released I've installed 4 new zonealarm purchases on 4 vista computers. Every single one of them has had problems.3 of the 4 the reset worked and got zonealarm working, but the 4th - the only way to fix the problem was to uninstall Zonealarm and refund the customer his money.
    Typically these are the problems;
    Zonealarm blocks access to websites, and autorun programs. The only way to install a program for example is to shut down zonealarm. With websites, you can get to some websites, but you can't got to the next page in a series of web pages, for example, search results on eBay.
    Zonelarm causes significant slowdown on computers. This is true of core 2 duo and quad core PCs. The typical configuration I sell to customers is a Q9400/9500 CPU with 2gb RAM with Intel MB, 500gb SATA drive. The slow down is extremely bad.
    Applications not responding - this has become common place for any number of applications, Eg Office, adobe creative suite, MYOB, and many more.
    Inability to open documents on network shares. Just hangs.
    ALL of these problems cease iof I shut down zonelarm or uninstall it.
    If this were an isolated incident I'd accept that kit might be a PC or O/S problem - but not when an out of the box install causes problems on 100% of every new and existing PC.
    Is there a fix for this?
    btw: This happens on all flavours of vista. I've also ensured al the latest M$ patches are installed.

    Please Contact ZA Tech Support with Full details, including any other Security Programs installed or Uninstalled that may be causing a Conflick or Blocking ZoneAlarm..Please note that ZASS does not play nice with many overlapping security tools (even if disabled). To troubleshoot ZASS issues remove them and install back once you see that ZA works as it should. For example,Norton/Symantec, McAfee,Spyspweeper, Spyware Doctor, trojan hunter, adware, SpyBotS&D, PC tools Threatfire, otherantivirus, antispyware, Registry Guard or locking tools, etc...ZA Tech support always answer, if you do not get an answer it means that ISP or your E-mail system has junked the response,Check your Junkmail folder.Use Internet Explorer to submit thefull details of your problem and a free e-mail like hotmail or gmail as contact address if you do not get an Auto-generated confirmation email ..You should receive an automatic confirmation response by ZA after 5-20 minutes with your ticket number.If you have not received it then your ISP has junked it or Bounced it back to Zonealarm...ZA technical support can be reached here: www.zonealarm.com/tsform---------------------------------------
