Default Moving ZA to new PC.

I have a paid up version of ZA that has about six months to run (pre-paid).
Is it possible to move this ZA program to my new (used) PC?

I intend to use ZA on solely on this new PC if I can move it over.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Software Version:8.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Antivirus

It's best to un-install ZA from the old pc with this - click here &gt; http://www2.nohold.net/noHoldCust542...n_install.html<hr>Write down your license key and
    copy/ paste
to the new install of ZA on other
pc.&gt; http://forum.zonealarm.org/zonelabs/...=160537#M76485<hr>Click here &gt; http://forums.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/...ssage.id=73645 - on new pc make sure any previous firewall and anti-virus is 'properly' un-installed prior to ZA install.<hr>On old pc you can install ZA Free.

Thank you for your comprehensive reply.
I have downloaded the ZA AV onto the new PC and it comes up as 15 day trial.
Tried entering my my key that I have for paid-up copy but the prog says 'invalid'.

I have checked my key and it comes back that it IS a valid key.

I seem to remember that I had the same trouble with the key after I renewed my subscription last time.
Cant remember what I did to get it accepted!
    Is it possibly because I
have not un-installed ZA from my old PC that is using the same key.

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>Part of the instriction you had was to First remove the Old version.. and Install the Free Version if you keep that old computer.Try a clean unistall of the program then reinstall the program.....

1.) Download a Current Copy of Zone Alarm from
ZA website in the release history section.

    ZAFree http://download.zonelabs.com/bin/fre...seHistory.htmlZAP http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...seHistory.html ZAAV http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...seHistory.htmlZAAS http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...seHistory.htmlZASS http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...seHistory.html

2.) Go into ZA Overview/Preferences and Un-Check "Load Zone Alarm on Startup"
3.) Reboot Computer to Remove Zone Alarm drivers from Memory..
4.) Temporarily shut down any other AV/AS Security programs that May Conflict with ZA Install

5..) Click on Start -&gt; Programs -&gt; Zone Labs
RIGHT-click on Uninstall Zone Labs Security, then select Properties.
Under Target you will see the following line (the actual drive may be different on your system):
    "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zauninstexe"
    Change it to:
    "C:\Program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zauninst.exe" /clean /rmlicense (add a space and then the /clean)
Click OK to save the new command line.
Click on Start -&gt; Programs -&gt; Zone Labs -&gt; Uninstall Zone Labs Security
Click OK to run the uninstaller, and OK any security alerts that pop up.
say "Yes when being prompted for the removal of all files and allow TrueVector to shut down.
    - Reboot

Now Start again in the Safe mode and delete these files in the Windows Directory:

    WINDOWS\ Internet Logs

    Program Files\Zone Labs

    WINDOWS\system32\ Zonelabs

    Now Reboot

Using something like this Freeware CCleaner &lt;--- http://www.ccleaner.com/download/bui...wnloading-slim
, will help do the cleanup as well on both the Hard drive and the Registry .

Now Re-install the ZAFree program now. on the Old computer. If your have a single user License,Key already installed on another computer,The ZoneLabs Lincense Server will not Activate the License Key onthe New Computer until it is Removed from the Older Computer..--------------------------------------------------------
