Default Upgrade to ZASS from ZA Pro and Kaspersky AV.

Hello everybody,
Some days ago I contact the technical support but nobody answer. So I try with this forum to found the information i need.
My apologizes if my question it's just in another thread. In this case please give me the link.
My questions:
I would like to upgrade from ZA Pro (8.0.059.000) to ZA SS.
On my pc it's also running Kaspersky AV 2009.
What is the best way to install ?
I have to uninstall Kaspersky and ZA Pro prior to install ZASS ?
I'll lose my ZA pro settings ?
Thank you.

Hi!yes, you need to remove ZAPRO and Kaspersky AV before installing the ZASS. You cannot transfer ZAPRO settings to ZASS.I would recommend to trial ZASS before buying, ZAPRO 8 and KAV 2009 is already a very good combination.Cheers,Fax

Thank you fax !!
I'll upgrade because there is a promo: at the same price of the renew I could upgrade to ZASS.
So with an unique program I could solve the security problem and pay only one licence.
Then I know that the AV in ZASS is KASPERSKY so I'll found the same interface is't it ?
However you are not so satisfied with ZASS and you suggest to remain with the same situation ZAPRO+KASPERSKY.
Regards.

Hi!ZASS uses the KAV SDK engine, you will find a different interface and functionality. What I tried to say is that ZASS and KAV 2009 are two different products. This is whyit important youtry it (There is a free 15 days trial on all ZA products).Always good to test... this is valid for ZA as for any other security tool :8}Cheers,Fax

http://s118.photobucket.com/albums/o...h_1welcome.gif to the Zone Alarm User Forum..That is an incorrect Assumption..ZASS uses the KAV SDK engine, you will find a different interface and functionality. the KAV SDK engine, uses the same AV difinition signatures, but does not have all the features of the Comercial version of KAV 2009..and there is no way to Combine or Merge KAV 2009 AV with the KAV SDK engine in ZASS.. they will both Conflict with each other..

Just One, Not Two -- Never use two software Firewalls at the same time.
Just One, Not Two -- Never use two Anti-virus products at
2.) ZASS is Better Security that ZAPro alone.. but since ZAPro does not inclide an AV Engine, ZAPro and KAV9 will provide Excelent Protection and give you the Different Features that KAV 2009 has that the ZASS KAV SDK engine, does not provide..--------------------------------------------------------
