    Default installation problem

    hi ,

    I have purchased for zonealarm AV ..
    I have problem with installation , it's stop at the end and I cant complete the setup
    when I click ZA icon from the start menu a msg appear and disappear quickly said :" validation failed for C:\program Files\Zone Labs\ZoneAlarm\zlclient.exe "

    plz tell me how to fix it ..

On your current ZA, UNcheck "Load ZA... at startup" (under Overview --> Preferences tab)3. Reboot the Computer.     6.)- have you properly un-installed any previous firewall and/or anti-virus?? = this needs to be done - http://forums.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/...message.id=154.     thanks for ur response ..

    ok .. I have downloaded the ZA AV from the link u give me ..

    before that I have uninstalled and deleted all related files for ZA
    then restart and begin installing ZA .. I thought its work good
    no screen said installing complete !
    the ZA icon shown in the bar .. when I move mouse there it's gone !!

    then the same msg appear when I click the ZA icon ??!!

    tell me what to do ?

    ZA has incorparated a new way to Reset DataBase files so users don't need to go into Safe mode.


    To repair this problem, please follow the steps below. Please note that
    this will remove your program permission settings (so you may want to make
    note of them), but re-establishing them is a simple process.

    1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together then

    2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock in the system tray lower right corner
    3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
    4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
    5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
    6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

    I can't reach the icon near the clock .. coz it's not appear !
    I just try to uninstall the ZA from programs menu ..
    a msg appear said

    That makes things More difficult..I have only two other options..1.) Contact ZoneAlarm Tech Support Directly Free of charge with full details of your install problem.. you may still have some other security program or Mailware on your computer that is conflicting with or Blocking ZoneAlarm AV.. ?ZA Tech support always answer, if you do not get an answer it may meanthat ISP or your E-mail system has junked the response,Check your Junkmail folder.Use Internet Explorer to submit thefull details of your problem and if you do not get an Auto-generated confirmation email .. Use a free e-mail like hotmail or Gmail as contact address You should receive an automatic confirmation response by ZA after 5-20 minutes with your ticket number.If you have not received it then your ISP has junked it or Bounced it back to Zonealarm...ZA technical support can be reached here: www.zonealarm.com/tsform-------------------------------------------------------- or.2.) a Full Complete Uninstall of all remenants of ZoneAlarm, so that you can do a Clean install..http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/...mp;action=viewThis applies to

    If possible, first try to uninstall ZoneAlarm normally from your Start -&gt;
