Default The SIMPLE TWO-STEP FIX for "Protection is up, UI is initializing" hangup... on Vista.

After searching and trying many options and procedures listed in this forum, even reformatting Drive C, I found the answer to my problems in this forum and I want to refer to it again for all of you who are having similar problems.
This fix is for my Vista Ultimate PC.

    Simple Two-Step Fix is below:
    1.
    Copy
    the file named vsdatant.sys from

    C:\Windows\System32\ZoneLabs folder

    to the

    C:\Windows\System32\drivers folder
    2.
Reboot your PC and everything should work normally.

Yay, thank you DRobison's fix at http://forums.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/...ssage.id=86922
    My headache is gone.
    lol.

Hi!this is usually do to the inability of the installer to have access to system directories.Unless you have other security tools installed or you are trying to install without full administrative privilegies this should not happen on a clean (really clean :8} )install of VISTA. Or may be its a bundle VISTA with pre-intalled ad-hoc utilities or programs that causes problems.Cheers,Fax

Thanks a lot for this fix, it did the trick for me.
I had previously spent hours trying to fix it byuninstalling/reinstalling on a Vista machine.
The fix seems too simple, hopefully Zonealarm can add this to their installations.
