Default "Automated Windows XP Service Pack 2 upgrade option"?

On
upgrading ZASS from 8.0.298.035 to 8.0.400.020, I noticed the following change listed in the Release History:
"Automated Windows XP Service Pack 2 upgrade option".
What does this mean?
I run Windows XP SP2, and I want to keep it that way -- not upgrate to SP3.
I don't see any new "optoins" offered in the setup or configuration... -- JClarkW

NOTICE: No Security Software run on WinXP Sp2 can protect you from the Windows Security Flaws found in Windows SP2
that were Fix with Windows SP3, until you upgrade to SP3...<<

Dear GeorgeV -- Two follow-ups please:

1) I HAVE installed all of Microsoft's INDIVIDUAL security fixes (except SP3 itself), following instructions from Lenovo.
They are still saying that "some of their drivers conflict with SP3" and advising AGAINST installing it.
I don't want conflicts with ZASS, however (haven't noticed any yet)!
Am I relatively safe this way, or do I really need to install SP3 IN ADDITION TO the individual updates?

2) I still don't know what Release History means by "Automated Windows XP Service Pack 2 upgrade option".

Thanks for your reply, and Best Regards. -- JClarkW

The newest version of ZoneAlarm requires at least Service Pack 2 in order to install. That was added to automatically link customers to the Service Pack 2 download if they needed it to install the new version.

Information was provided to me by Technical Support Live Chat
