Hi!no, it is not supported. ZA version 9 will be supporting it. It is currently in beta. There is not ETA when it will be released. Most likely end of September or beginning of October.Cheers,Fax

    Hi,
    Many thanks.
    Sorry ,what is for "ETA"...?

    Regards.

PS - I'd like to test beta ZA 9 , but my Win7 is on a Virtual Machine and I see that a lot of resources are needed.

I have been running ZAAV 9 beta on Windows 7 RC, since I can't run ZASS on it yet, but the beta expires in 34 days; I hope ZASS 9 will at least be in beta by then.
BTW, fax, just curious...is it just that the installer won't run on Windows 7, or that the program itself won't operate properly?
rlndsgrb, it is free to run the beta if only for 60 days in all, so why not try that in the meantime?

I don't think they will release the ZASS beta of version 9. They have already the AV and Extreme. They usually test top end products. If you need better protection then I would recommend to shift to ZAX (next beta) while waiting for the retail version of ZASS.

is it just that the installer won't run on Windows 7
well you can manage to install but then it will not work correctly and crash/hang.

    Happy testing

It's not a question of needing better protection than ZAAV; it really has been working well so far. It's a question of what to do after the 60 days are up, if the retail Win7-compatible version of the one I own (ZASS) is not out yet.
I guess ZAX will be the way to go then. What are the differences from ZASS in terms of running processes?

The only difference is ForceField (web security) that you can simply turn OFF. For the rest identical... You have around 20MB more consumption of RAM if you keep forcefield ON. But it varies from machine to machine and could still be reduced in future builds.
