    Default VS Monitor constantly shuts down in ZA Pro

    Hi,

    I know there is a thread about this but it is old and the "solution" didn't work. I have reinstalled my pro version over and over and it might be good for a few days and then takes a **bleep**. I'm really tired of it when the VS monitor shuts down everything shuts down....browser window and sometimes certain programs will too. Has there been a real fix for this yet?

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro
    Software Version:6.0

    When you reinstall, do you do a clean uninstall first? If not try that. There are instructions on my site on how to do that. If you do it that way, are there any error entries in the Admin event viewer in XP?

    Hi,
    Yes I have always done a clean install....even cleaner than most...I run a reg cleaner also before the next install. I get no other error messages.

    I am getting the same issue ever since the upgrade to v6.1. What the heck is going on here? It is getting VERY annoying, enough so that I might have to either go back to an older version, or find a different vendor.

    I am sooo over it. It is taking up way to much of my time and totally affects the entire PC performance. Everything comes to a dead stop until all the little boxes can be checked and the updater does it's thing. I paid $$ for the program and I want it to work.

    Did you do something, or something happen just before this started happening? Even something that seems normal?

    Umm no.
    I have reinstalled the program several times....I have replaced the installer several times as it seems to become corrupted.
    Tonight when it started acting up I did get an error message that said " Validation failed for C:\Windows\System32\Zonelabas\VSRuledB.dll
    You probably are missing a necessary root certificate"
    .
    I rebooted and it updated and has been running ok since.

    It finally broke bad enough windows fixed it.

    What? Nothing about it is fixed. True Vector is still crashing. What is Zone Labs doing about this?? I want the program to work or my money back this is bull.
