    Default Satellite connection

I am running Windows XP. Since changing my internet connection to Wildblue satellite, ZA Pro periodically stops allowing me to connect to webpages.
There are no messages or anything. All I have to do is disable ZAP and I can then download.
If I then enabe ZAP, I can continue to download for an unknown period of time, then it will shut
    down my connection again.
The time varies. The satellite service does not have a firewall of which I am aware.
    The Microsoft firewall is disabled.

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro
    Software Version:6.1

    Hi donbo,

"PERHAPS" I can help you, as I am a user of Zone Alarm Pro.

Have you given Generic Host Process(svchost.exe access to the trusted and internet zone, and server rights to the trusted zone only (not the Internet Zone!)?

Do you have your DHCP server IP in the Trusted zone of your Firewall > Zones panel? Finding DNS and DCHP servers, etc

    1. Go to Run type in command , hit 'ok', and type ipconfig /all then press enter. In the returned data list will be a line DNS and DHCP Servers with the IP address(s) listed out to the side.
    2. In ZA on your machine on the Firewall>Zones tab click Add and then select IP Address. Make sure the Zone is set to Trusted.
    3. Click OK and then Apply and see if that works to fix it..

Hope this info has helped you, if not PLEASE post back.

Thank you for your time and have a nice evening!

    Thanks for the assistance.

However, I tried both suggestions and I still have the same problem as before. Any other ideas? I would like to continue using ZAP, but at this point, I'm ready to chuck it for something else?

I'm having the same problems as well and have done the suggested steps previously posted. It will work for a while, but then start blocking my connection again.
