Thread: Why is Zone Alarm sitting in my botton left tray?

Default Why is Zone Alarm sitting in my botton left tray?

I disabled ZA temporarily while I installed a game.
Then I got it back on and its icon
is, as usual, in the bottom right hand side of my tray. But now there is a longer ZA thing in the lower left hand side - like where programs go, or the place where you can close pop ups or other programs.
What is this? And why? How do I get it to go away and just
only in the bottom right hand corner?

If you click on the Zone Alarm "longer icon" in the left of your system tray, the control panel should open. Now click the white X in the red box in the upper right hand corner and it should go away leaving the smaller icon next to your clock as before.

    Bill, thank you!
I should have said the ZA longer icon was sitting in my "task bar" on the lower left side (like programs that you access do.)
Anyway, I clicked it, and it opened the control thing. Then
I clicked the x in the box in the upper right corner - I would not say it was a"white x in a red box" (there was no red box) but it worked. And the ZA icon on the right bottom seems active, so
    THANK
    YOU.

I did not quite finish my message, Bill, before it went to the forum. I did not even have a chance to sign my name!

Anyway thank you for replying and helping me.

By the way, I live in Macon!
