Default Down loaded free soft ware and computer came to screaching halt

I down loaded a free soft ware program to "read Licences details" computer cpu barely moved. my computer would do nothing. I went into safe mode and deleted the program. all i remember is it started with a EU ...That was interesting, not is a good way.So after deleted the program I went into Computer Restore and went back to before I down loaded the problem program. The free program suposedly would read the licence agreement when you down load soft ware and find the details that you might find objectionable. So then you could choose whether or not to continue to down load the program. Sounded llike a good idea. But It seems to have caused problems on my computer.Wonderingtoo

Sorry about your troubles. Could it have been Eulalyzer by Javacool? If so, I've had it for a long time, and I run it often to "read" documents. I'm not sure how effective it is, but it scans/analyzes the EULA agreements, and the program makes comments on the basis of key phrases.
