    Default New problem today!

    Have run Free Zonealarm for years. Not even a hick-up till yesterday, when all of a sudden I got an yellow "X" in my tray icon for Zonealarm, and I couldn't log on to the internet.Also I noticed that in the "Programs" section, the "allow connect" for Zonealarm was unchecked! If I shutdown Zonealarm, and then log on to the internet, it works instantly. Then I can re-start Zonealarm and it works fine.V-2.6.262 since 2002 Even thought I have "check for updates checked, I doesn't seen to do it!Thank you in advance for any help with this.Andy

    Hi,

    A database reset will fix the problem if Zone Alarm is the problem in the first place. Reset the database this way; you will lose your customizations and will need to reconfigure Zone Alarm.

    1. Boot your computer into the Safe Mode. {Instructions if needed}
    2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.
    3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.
    4. Reboot into the normal mode.
