Default Firewall blocked access to lookup.mailfrontier.net

I cam home today and found three alerts telling me that the firewall had protected me by blocking access to 204.212.170.225 on port 80. This IP address is for lookup.mailfrontier.net. I tried to figure out what program might have done this and it appears to be the ZA spam filter in Outlook. Why would the spam filter try to access a web site directly and not via email? And if it was the ZA spam filter, why wouldn't it have been autocofigured to not block it?

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite
    Software Version:6.5

Some of the functions of the mail filter require access to the Internet and it usually is allowed by default. You can change the mail filter's access permissions by going to the program control tab > programs tab.
