Default Z.A. 6.5.737.000 Alerts/History Firewall page not working

    Hello.
I have no more alerts of any kind related to the Firewall, in the History screen.
(It is working fine for the programs)
In the "Alerts and History advanced parameters" screen, the option "archive history files every..." is dead.
I desinstalled and reinstalled Z.A. without any problem but it did not change anything.
Is there any way to repair the function?
    Thanks and best regards

    Hi,

Well I'd try resetting the ZA database and let it "discover" the connections anew. You'll lose your settings but I think this might do the trick. It will bring the firewall back to the point as if it were a fresh installation.

    1. Boot your computer into the Safe Mode. {Instructions if needed}
    2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.
    3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.
    4. Reboot into the normal mode.

PLEASE keep me posted on your results, THANKS.

Hi, PLEASE make sure you have Event Logging Enabled in your Firewall. Go into Alerts and Logs, then to Main tab, scroll down until you see Event Logging and make sure you have a dot in the ON box.

PLEASE let me know your results, THANKS.

    Hello.
It is a French version of Z.A. so, I have a dot in front of "Afficher toutes les alertes" which seems to be right.
    Perhaps nothing to do but:
1/ in the "Alerts and history advanced parameters", "History control" screen, there is a dot in front of "archive the history files every" but no place to write the required information. (Neverthless, I have ZALog....txt files in the Internet Logs directory.)
2/ Could it be related to my Internet connection 1 go (Fast Ethernet PCI card) or its installation?
    Thanks again.
    Regards

Are you behind a router or does your modem do NAT? You might not easily know if your Modem does NAT. Many DSL modem do NAT which stands for Network Address Translation. The reason I asked is that both NAT modems and routers will block intrusion attempts and therefore you may not see any logging.
