Does someone know how can I see at specific time, which particular application is communicating (sending and (-or) receiving data) over the net?

In the paid versions there are logs. The Program logs of the Alerts and Logs section has date/time, application, direction, allowed/blocked and the destination IP and the destination DNS.

This will give you an idea of what was happening and by what and when. I am unsure if this is available in the ZA Free.
