Default Very slow after logon screen

The last few days I have been noticing that once I log in, the desktop takes almost a minute to appear, the task bar is there, but the desktop icons take almost a minute to appear. The moment I shut off ZASS on bootup there is no problem. Ideas? Thanks.

I found the problem..... I noticed a hard drive was a SATA. I checked the cable to the mobo, which must have been not fully seated, re-insterted it and problem solved.

Opps, take that back.....not the problem so it seems with the SATA HD. It started again after I thought it was fixed...same thing, if I disable ZASS, there is no delay logging in. Desktop appears instantly and I can open programs. ZASS opens on bootup and it is about 1 minute beofre the desktop appears and I can do anything. Help. Thanks.
