Default Memory Leak in Zone Alarm 7

    Hello,
I have been using Zone Alarm for years with no issues.
However, I recently installed version 7 and started having memory problems.
Essentially all my system memory was being consumed over a peirod of days until finally there was no memory available and Zone Alarm would be forced to shut down.
I would re-boot and the memory leak would start over.
After trying to track the memory issue to something else, I finally uninstalled ZA and voila, the memory problems are gone. I wish I hadn't deleted the install file for Version 6 from my PC before verifying that version 7 was safe.
I'm running the Windoze firewall now.

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)
    Software Version:7.0

Yes the ZAFree version has the ZASS under it, so it is possible there is some AV conflicts created in the background. You are not alone with the ZAFree installer causing issues.

Download the ZAFree versions from here:

    http://download.zonelabs.com/bin/fre...seHistory.html

The ZAFRee version 6.1 and the 6.5 are acceptable for use and security.

    Best regards.
