    Default Auto or manual renewal?

Using ZA 6.5.737 on Win XP Home SP2

How can I tell if I'm registered to be automatically renewed?
There's nothing I can find within my ZA installation and the ZA Subscription Manager page does not specify.

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro
    Software Version:6.5

Hi!if you have a valid license you can update free to any new version of the product, in your case ZAPRO.If "Check for updates" (overview --> preferences) does not give you any notice abouta new version you can download the latest version here: For a smooth upgrade I would reccomend the following:1. Backup your ZA settings (overview --> preferences)2. On your current ZA, Uncheck "Load ZA... at startup" (overview --> preferences)3. Reboot your system4. Install the new update (upgrade or clean) and shutdown any security tool you have installed. The above may only fail if you have, malware infections or messy OSAnd if ZA is acting weird (should not be the case).. just clean install and restore settings.Fax

I fyou're talking about automatic subscription renewal, this is a relatively new service that ZA offers, although, according to Customer Service,
it only works for subscriptions purchased after a certain date. For others, the choice will be greyed out.
You get to there by going to aZone Alarm web page, selecting "My Account", logging in, selecting Manage Subsctiptions, entering a credit card number if you don't already have one on file, then selecting the Renewal Option, which will be greyed out it you are not eligible for this service, but selectable if you are.

    Thanks shieber ...

Yes, I was talking about subscription renewal not program upgrade/update. I had already done what you suggested, but just didn't go far enough.

Seems to me that this information should be provided on the Overview | Product Info sheet along with the "Support and Update Information"

And don't forget, if you manually renew, the subscription begins on the date of renwal purchase, not on the expiration of the existing subscription -- so best to wait until the last day.
