Hi!it may be normal, the new AV by Kaspersky doesan in-depth check on files. It will decompress zip, rar, cab on the fly and check all elements in it. This is also true for double compressed files. Previous AV was lighter but far less secure and was not scanning inside compressed files.Scanning speed can be influenced by the number of files in your HDs, the size of them, the share of compressed files and the RAM you have available to scan. You may want to exclude files/folders by unchecking them in "scan targets", in the advanced options of the antivirus/antispyware tab.If you keep ZASS active and fully updated you do not need to scan your system too often, not every day nor every week. You can set ZASS to scan your system when you are not using your PC.Hope this helps,Fax
