I am running office 2007 on a Hewlett-Packard laptop NC 6320.
The operating system is Windows XP (service Pack 2) and right up to date as of now.
I have been experiencing problems when I open Outlook 2007.
On random occasions it will freeze and lock up the computer so that I have to do a hard boot to get the system back again.
I have phoned Microsoft and their interim diagnosis is that ZoneAlarm is causing this problem.
To humour them (and to exclude ZoneAlarm as a problem) I have temporarily disabled ZoneAlarm and am using the Windows firewall instead.
Can anybody tell me if they have had a similar problem or not?
And if they have did they manage to cure it and how.
I have applied to the Outlook patch which was supposed to fix this problem.
It is interesting that the technician made no reference to the existing problem and nor did they ask me if I had applied the patch.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated
