I just purchased a new laptop with Windows Vista Business operating system.
I want to make sure I don't have redundant security checking taking place between Vista and ZASS (don't need two sets of security operations working in the background unnecessarily, and don't want two levels of security checks slowing down my system).
Thus far I have disabled Vista firewall, and malware protection.
I would like some advice as to whether this is wise or if I am compromising my system's protection.
Also, are there any other features in Vista or ZASS that should be disabled?
I expect in some cases it may be best to tweak between the two programs, depending on the levels of protection chosen in ZASS, what the security preferences are for any given situation, etc.
However any advice, even if general, would be helpful at this point.
