When I attempt to upload files to rapidshare (and other web based upload services), vsmon.exe takes over the entire cpu usage and basically stops all computer operation, including the upload.
After about 15 minutes into the upload, it takes several minutes just to refresh a window.
The only way I've been able to work around this is to disable ZoneAlarm on startup, and reboot before starting the upload.
Of course, this eliminates all protection, and is not good.
I've searched through the large number of posts on this forum that complain about excessive vsmon.exe cpu dominance, and have tried all the suggested fixes.
None solve the problem.
The Zone Alarm logs show nothing, even when vsmon.exe is grabbing all cpu.
I'm forced to conclude that this is a major bug with ZA, and not much is being done about it.
