Since upgrading to ZoneAlarm 7, I find that I can't -using Firefox- just 'click' on a second htm file to open it. Nothing happens at all. I have to CLOSE the original before clicking the next one. Of course, I CAN open a new window or tab and then find the file, but that's a terrible way of doing things.
I'd ASSUMED that the fault lay in the browser, and totally reinstalled the latest version. It worked perfectly - until I rebooted, that is! Then it was back to square one with the same problem. So, I started closing down the startup programs, and found that ZoneAlarm was causing the problem. I totally reinstalled the latest version and the same thing happened. Fine, until I rebooted... Of course I CAN just close ZA to make Firefox work properly, but I'm concerned that I may forget to start up the firewall when I go online!
Has anyone else come across this problem since upgrading to version 7? Can explain why ZoneAlarm should make Firefox behave in this strange way and, more importantly, is there a solution?
Any help would certainly be appreciated.
