Default ZA Prompts When Using Bloglines

I use a utility called Bloglines to tell me when certain blogs have new information.
The Bloglines icon sits in the Notification Area ('systray') and the icon changes when new info is available.
If I click the icon it will open the Bloglines information in Windows Explorer.
For the last few months, clicking the Bloglines icon causes ZA to pop up a warning to ask if it should be allowed to open IE.
Each time I click the Remember choice and click Yes but it does not remember this action.
It used to remember this action and I didn't get this popup on a routine basis.

What can I do to make ZA remember my choice so it will stop asking every time?
    Thanks,

    Bill

    Hi,

    Welcome to the Forum!

I am very sorry that you are having issues with ZA and hopefully I will be able to help you find a solution.

PLEASE try the following, as this will bring the firewall back to the original settings.

I think is your Zone Alarm database has gotten corrupt and does not remember your Zones settings. Reset your database and see if that will fix it. Reset the database this way; you will lose your customizations and will need to reconfigure Zone Alarm.

MAKE SURE you remove ALL the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files.

    1. Boot your computer into the Safe Mode.

    2. Navigate to the c:\windows\internet logs folder.

    3. Delete the backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb files in the folder.

    4.Then empty the Recycle Bin.

    5. Reboot into the normal mode.

How Do I Boot Into Safe Mode?

Thanks for the advice on how to solve this problem, Slyfox.
I haven't tried it yet but I imagine that will work.
It's too bad the solution has to be so drastic!
I never did receive an email notifying me that a reply to my message had been posted!
I was very careful to check that box before submitting my message.

Hey Bill,Tech Support came out with a faster and easier way, to reset your database. PLEASE use this one.To repair this problem, please follow the steps below. Please note that this will remove your program permission settings (so you may want to make
note of them), but re-establishing them is a simple process.1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after rebootSlyFox

Thanks, Slyfox, that sounds like a simpler procedure even though it still requires rebuilding all the program permissions.
However, I guess that isn't nearly as hard these days as it was way back when I was using the ZA free version a number of years ago.
