I received the message, "instructions at "0x00f3061c" referenced memory at "0x735c5621." The memory could not be read. I had to click "OK" to shut down vsmon.exe. Lately, I have received a few other similar messages, although I did not write down the addresses.

Does this indicate some of my memory is bad, or could there be another explanation? I'm using an HP notebook computer with 1 GB of memory, and I understand replacing memory is not difficult. However, I don't know if this is really the problem. Does anyone have any information to shed on this? I"ve run Memtest86 on my computer and it did not find any bad memory. I've also run Spinrite on my hard drive for 7 hours and supposedly it fixed any hard drive problems.

I would appreciate any feedback. I certainly do not want to buy replacement memory, if that is not going to fix the problem. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
panasher
