Default Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite and IE7 home page problem

I have the latest version of Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite. I use IE7 and WINXP Home with the latest updates. The first time during the day after I power up I try to launch IE7 and all I see is "Connecting" on a tab. I
wait for up to 5 mins and still no connection with my ISP home page.
If I kill IE7, usually have to do it in Task Manager under Processes, then launch IE7 again the home page loads. I have looked at all the Zone Alarm settings I can think of. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Software Version:7.0

    Hi,

    Welcome to the Forum!

PLEASE give Generic Host Process Server Rights in the Trusted Zone and full Access rights. And yes, a red cross for Internet in the Server section. PLEASE empty the Trash folder in FireFox or empty the cache from your current browser. Then empty your recycle bin. PLEASE reboot and try it again.

Make sure your DNS and DHCP server IP's are in your Firewall's Trusted zone. Finding DNS and DCHP servers, etc

    1. Go to Run type in command , hit 'ok', and type ipconfig /all then press enter. In the returned data list will be a line DNS and DHCP Servers with the IP address(s) listed out to the side.
    2. In ZA on your machine on the Firewall>Zones tab click Add and then select IP Address. Make sure the Zone is set to Trusted.
    3. Click OK and then Apply and see if that works to fix it.
    4. The loopback or localhost (127.0.0.1) must be listed as Trusted.
    5. The Generic Host Process (svchost.exe), in the Program Control Program list, must have server rights for the Trusted Zone.
Plus it must have both Trusted and Internet Access and three green bars.

PLEASE keep me posted on your results, THANKS.
