ZoneAlarm logs the details of attacks that ISPs can use to investigate abused IP addresses assigned by them. Anyone can identify the ISP which assigned those addresses by following the directions at http://www.iana.org/faqs/abuse-faq.htm. I have done this for two or three addresses but the sheer volume of the log file (not to mention the archives) forbids any substantial effort to investigate those addresses that aren't spoofed as local. So I wonder, is there any software that will query the RIRs and email a standard message to the appropriate ISPs? Would this be a valid Request For Enhancement of ZoneAlarm?
