Default ZASS: Will XP version accept key-code from Vista version?

    I just got a new
    laptop with WinVista.

If I buy ZASS v7.1.248 (Vista version) and later decide to replace Vista with WinXP, will
my v7.1.248 license (key-code) work with
the XP version of ZASS (v7.0.462)?

<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> to the Zone Alarm User Forum..

The License Key Code for ZASS will work for XP or Vista ZASS, However, The ZASS Program foritself for Vista will not work on XP and Visa-versa..But the same ZASS Key code will work on either..

In regards to versions available - currently there are two "seperate" lines of ZA products: the original -more popular XP/2000 pc line(that's what you have) is up-to-date with <STRIKE>7.0.337 / (7.0.362) + 7.0.408</STRIKE> &gt; 7.0.462 *. <HR>

The versions ONLY for Vista is 7.1.078 / new 7.1.248*= exclusively. Even thou the number is higher, it is not "better", it is not an upgrade/improvement over the <STRIKE>7.0.337or 7.0362or 7.0.408 or</STRIKE> 7.0.462. that you and everybody else with XP pc's have. It's just two distinguishing call numbers, that's all, yes.---------------------------------------

    Thanks...
I just wanted to make sure that if I buy ZASS for Vista, I won't have to
    'anti-up' again for
an XP version if I replace Vista
    with
WinXP (which I'm very tempted to do)!!!

    George,
Thanks for that info; I'll be sure to follow it.

However, I must say that so far I'm not impressed with Vista.
It runs suggishly on my laptop (DC Pentium &amp; 2GB RAM) whereas I'm sure XP would run
like a banshee on the same laptop.
Furthermore, the new Windows (Vista) Mail crashes often (saying it has to close).
    X-(
    Once you get past
all of its 'eye-candy', aero, gadgets, etc., I just don't see
    any real
substance to this OS, which requires at least twice the PC resources in order to (perhaps) run as fast as XP!

I am using Vista Home Premium
    (came with
    my new
    Dell
    laptop).

Vista has been updated with all
    downloads available to the public.
    My prior Dell
    laptop
    (that I gave to
my son) runs WinXP Pro, has a 1.8GHz Pent.M and 1GB RAM.
Running the same programs on each laptop, the older WinXP Pro laptop runs quite a bit faster than my new Vista laptop!

On top of that, I find Window Mail on Vista to be quite unstable.

George, right you are about Vista and this being a ZA forum.
    With that in mind I
    am about to
    purchase/download
    ZASS for Vista.

If (I really should say 'when') I revert to WinXP, I trust I will just have to download and install ZASS for XP (using the same key-code I'm about to get with ZASS for
    Vista).
    Cheers,pv
