Default Is Zonealarm free blocking MSI Live update?

    Hiya,
New here so please be patient. Have tried to use MSI Liveupdate on girlfriends zone alarmed PC but am unable to complete the scan process however I have no problems on my Panda protected pc. Does Zonealarm somehow block certain ActiveX items. Had the same problem with Trend micro Activescan.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    It's doing my head in.
    Cheers!

Hi!ZAfree does not have the ability to block ActiveX components. May be some conflicts with ZA and application installed on the system.Note that ZAfree comes embedded with ZASS 7 (i.e. antivirus/antispyware and privacy components), so it will install non functional and potentially conflicting add-ons (e.g. right click AV scan and junk mail filters). The last ZAfree, free of ZASS was version 6.5. You find it here:http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...seHistory.htmlCheers,Fax

    Hi Fax

Cheers for getting back to me so quickly. Just one more question, if I install ZAFree 6.5 I will have to do the full uninstall of ZAFree 7 as mentioned on this site, wont I?

Like I said, on an older PC of mine with ZAFree 6???maybe I had trouble accessing trendmicro active scan. It was like ZAFree was blocking it. Could this be correct.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Not likely, there is no script control in ZAfree so I don't know how it could have been blocked.Hope this helps.Cheers,Fax
