    Default ZA v. Outlook Links

I could not find any posts related to the problem I have encountered.
I have ZA and Outlook. Recently I cannot open any web
links that are in any Outlook messages, I have tried all related 'resettings' suggested on these forum's and others that seemed remotely plausible.
When I go into Program Controls in ZA and completely remove them (sliding the little switch all the way down to off) I can then go back into Outlook and access the links opening them in either IE7 or Firefox, it does not seem to make a difference which browser I use etc.
I am not that experienced with this but can follow directions pretty well so if someone can point me in the right direction I (read my wife) would greatly appreciate me fixing this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

    kgillooly,
With the Outlook program closed go to zone alarm and in the program control tab click on programs tab then right click on the
    Outlook program
in the Programs list.. Click on
Options (lower right corner). Under Advanced Program Control is the box checked
This program may use other programs to access the internet?
If not checked, do so and click Apply.
Same screen just below it is

    there a check
    to Allow application interaction?
If not checked, do so and click Apply.

Thanks, although I thought I had tried this I went in w/o Oulook open this time to try it, still nothing. Closed everything, re-set what you suggested, have it applied and still cannot open attachments nor links from Outlook.

    What else can I try?

One other thing, when I can click on the link a browser opens titled 'Locate Link Browser', I have no clue what to do with this either. Just thought the info might help.

    kgillooly,
Are you using a Windows 2000-based computer with Outlook 2003?
If so take a look at this:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821692

It is Outlook 2003 on Windows XP, everything that came with the computer originally.
I had already tried re-setting what you sent me in that link and everything was/is set the same way so there was no need to change that.
The root of the problem still seems to be with ZA, I have the settings the way you described in ZA, in each browser etc.
The Trust Leve on Outlook was at 1 bar, I just raised it to 3 and it is now allowing access.
Thanks for your time with this.
