Default ZoneAlarm 2007 retail box - Vista

Ok, if you have a retail box ZA 2007, they are 'not really Vista Ready' [the new 2008 retail boxes are Vista -Ready] - but you still have the ability to use your purchase. The license key from the sleeve of the CD-Rom is the critical item you actually need to get started. http://forums.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/...d=17403#M27205<hr>1 - do not use the CD-Rom at all to install - do not put in DVD drives.2 - click here to review proper installation and preparation &gt; http://forums.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/...ssage.id=73617
. Remember to properly un-install pre-installed security software first (firewall and/ or anti-virus - depending on which ZoneAlarm product you are attempting to install - please post back that info). Please follow guide lines and tips.3 - install direct form ZA website the latest Vista version and then enter the license key when prompted.<hr>In regards to versions available - currently there are two &quot;seperate" lines of ZA products: the original -more popular XP/2000 pc line(that's what you have) is up-to-date with <strike>7.0.337 / (7.0.362) + 7.0.408</strike> &gt; 7.0.462 / 7.0.470 *.<hr>The versions ONLY for Vista is 7.1.078 / new 7.1.248*
    = exclusively.
Even thou the number is higher, it is not &quot;better&quot;, it is not an upgrade/improvement over the <strike>7.0.337
    or 7.0362
or 7.0.408 or</strike> 7.0.462. that you and everybody else with XP pc's have. It's just two distinguishing call numbers, that's all, yes.<hr>There is a new
    Vista version
    - 7.1.248* as of 1-25-08 for ZoneAlarm Security Suite
, ZoneAlarm Pro, ZoneAlarm AntiVirus and ZoneAlarm (Free firewall)
    - Vista 32 bit OS - only
.<hr>Please be advised for those who have 7.1.078, the
7.1.248 version is recommended for use; as it improves and fixes many of the issues that some users have.<hr>

. Most new pc/laptops come with pre-installed security software, which should be properly un-installed prior to installing any ZA firewall product. This is an

Default Re: ZoneAlarm 2007 retail box - Vista

    I
ve been using Internet Security Suite for a couple of years now (with XP) and have been quite happy with the product. I just reecently got a new PC with Vista (both with 64 bit!!) and now I discover I cant use my Zonealarm product because of the 64 bit OS (
Do anyone know when there will be such a version of Internet Security Suite available?? And what
    about that
    beta test ???
    Regards

    Default Vista 64?

http://forums.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/...message.id=608<hr>&quot;As of 3/10/08, there are plans for a Vista x64 version this year:<blockquote><hr>Hello,</blockquote>

Thank you for your interest in a 64 bit Vista compatible version of ZoneAlarm. At this time we do have plans for a Vista 64bit compatible version sometime in 2008.

When a beta becomes available it will be posted to our beta center website,
    www.zonealarm.com/beta

Please keep checking the beta center for an update. All notices and or information on any beta are posted there.

    Best regards,

ZoneAlarm Beta Team&quot; <hr>This is the best that can be said - there are no guarantees that they will get one out by then - ok. It's just a projection.<hr>:0NaiveMelody NYC 4-8-08 - The Long Run - The Eagles

    Hi,
Thank you for the reply. That was what I was afraid of all though I hoped that Zonelabs could keep up with their big compettitors (fx. Symantec). I guess I
    ll just have to buy
    Symantec
s product from now on all though I prefer Zonelabs :mansad:
