Default Cannot install ZASS onto Vista Home Premium SP1

I have just bought a new Acer Aspire 5920 laptop from Office Max.
The first thing I have done is to uninstall Norton Antivirus.
I am trying to install ZASS from the Zone Labs web site.
When I run the install I eventually get a Vista Popup that says "ZoneAlarm Client has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
Once you let this close it tries to launch ZoneAlarm, but every attemps results in the receipt of the same popup noted above.
Is this a problem with Vista SP1?

    Operating System:Windows Vista Home Premium
    Software Version:
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

There's a special uninstall tool on the Norton website which you need to download and run. If you haven't run it, I would do a clean uninstall of ZoneAlarm, run the tool, then reinstall ZoneAlarm.
