Default Disable Firewall but use Anti-Virus & Spyware

I bought a license for the ZoneAlarm suite and had intended to use it on a desktop which is now beyond repair! I am setting up a laptop and router (with a built in firewall) so I will have no need for the firewall feature. Can I disable the firewall permanently and just use the anti-virus and spy ware features on my laptop? Will the overhead be lessened on the laptop and are there any problems that anyone can foresee with this?

Hi!if you are not using any other software firewall than you can simply turn-off ZA incoming protection (ZA firewall tab) and ZA outgoing protection (ZA program control tab) and keep the rest active. If you are using another software firewall than there may be potential conflicts since ZA firewall driver will not be disabled even if its filtering features are turned OFF.Hope this helps.Cheers,Fax
