Default ZoneAlarm Version 8 - GUI Interface

Does anyone like the new interface?
Personally, I think the new one
complicates things and just looks terrible.
I want the old interface back with the colorful tabs.

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Software Version:8.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

I'm using Vista. The new interface does not properly support the Vista "look" it just uses Win95/98 style header bar. Major oversight, especially since ZA 7 looked fine in Vista.

    Yeah, I agree.
The interface from version 7 looked wonderfully simple.
    It looked good too.
This new design has a basic look that just doesn't work as well as the older tabs do.

It seems to me that there wasn't sufficient testing of the new version, or there was a massive brain fart at Zone Labs. There are a lot of complaints about various problems. I know that I was having a major problem with Firefox not loading images in web pages, or not loading the whole page. I had developed a rather high opinion of ZA but it's getting a little shaky now. Never have I seen such a flub.

Honestly, I like the new look. I think it simplifies things, and is a lot cleaner.

I haven't however been able to find the spot that shows the "xxxx program is accessing the Internet" message. I guess they removed it? I was a really useful little feature that I would actually like to see improved--instead of removed (if indeed it has). I haven't read the whole help file, but I'm not even sure what that feature was called.

I would LOVE to be able to see exactly what all is actively accessing the Internet and where it's heading. The little green dot next to programs is nice, but not what I am referring to.

Hi!you can use other application like TCPview, its complete, free and work very well.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb897437.aspxIMO is nice that ZA is not cluttered with too many features that may make it difficult to use or bloated.(just my opinion :8})Cheers,Fax

    Wow, great little app! Thanks!

Now there's no reason to have that functionality in ZA if I have this. Thanks again for going out of your way to point me to that.

Fax, I know you're supposed to support all of ZoneAlarm's decisions, but do you really think there is an advantage to the new interface over the older one?
