    Default Firewall issue

Hi, I just bought a new printer from hp.
I have spent 1 1/2 days online chatting with them about why certain features on my printer won't work.
They told me that it's because of my firewalls.
Here are the following things they told me I needed to add to the trusted zone of my firewalls:
    hpqkygrp.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.
    hpqscnvw.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.
    hpzipm12.exe , located in the C:\windows\system32 directory.
    hpzinw12.exe , located in the C:\windows\system32 directory.
    hpqtra08.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.
hpqthb08.exe , located in the C:\program files\HP\digital imaging\bin directory.NOTE: Some of these files might not be present on the computer.

    UDP ports: 161, 427, and 137
    TCP ports: 9220, 9500, and 9290
Any idea how I do that?

    Operating System:Windows Vista Home Premium
    Software Version:7.1 (Vista)
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

Use the Add button to add these files into the ZA program list.
Give these both trusted access and trusted server in the Access and Server columns.
Give these three green checks in the Trust column.

Add the windows spoolsv.exe to the list and do the same for this too.

Then right click each of these files and open the Options and check the first two items listed and Apply and OK.

Make sure the router IP is already added into the Trusted Zone in the Zones of the Firewall of the ZA.

Make sure the printer IP is added into the Trusted Zone in the Zones of the Firewall of the ZA.

Make sure the Trusted Security Zone slider is at medium not the high.

Then reboot and it should work now.

Also, where can I find the router IP?
I already put the printer's ip address in there.
    Thanks again.

Spoolsv.exe is found in the WINDOWS\system32 folder.

The router IP can be seen in the ipconfig /all command.

    1. Go to Run and type in command and hit 'ok', and in the command then type in ipconfig /all then press the enter key. In the returned data list will be a line DNS and DHCP Servers with the IP address(s) listed out to the side. Make sure there is a space between the ipconfig and the /all, and the font is the same (no capitals).
    2. In ZA on your machine on the Firewall, open the Zones tab, click Add and then select IP Address. Make sure the Zone is set to Trusted. Add the DNS IP(s) .
    3. Click OK and Apply. Then do the same for the DHCP server.
    4. The localhost (127.0.0.1) must be listed as Trusted.
    5. The Generic Host Process (svchost.exe) as seen in the Zone Alarm's Program's list must have server rights for the Trusted Zone.
Plus it must have both Trusted and Internet Access.

Extra help is found at Guru Hoov site for the DNS/DHCP.

    Best regards.
