I was awake earlier than usually for a Saturday and I heard my computer bring itself out of hibernation without my prompt. I opened the taskmanager and discovered that updclient.exe was eating up ~90% of my CPU cycles.

I found an earlier post on this board discussing the greediness of updclient.exe, and I realize that I can disable auto-updating (although this is a shame to do). What I am wondering is this: Do you think updclient.exe caused my system to power up, or do I have some other rogue program?
