Install Zone Alarm as a trial version - i.e. no need to enter the license key when it is installed.

Once it's installed, open the interface and select Product Information. There should be a section for the License.

Open that section and enter the license key you have and it should accept it.

to the Zone Alarm User Forum..1.) It is Sometimes very Difficult to Diagnose and fix a Computer from halfway across the Country,
without All the Details, without the ability to sit in front of your Computer monitor and see what's going on

2.) The License Key will work on Both WinXP and Vista for the Same Type of ZoneAlarm,

Example: ZA Security Suite for WinXP License will also work on ZA Security suite for Vista..

3.) if your Purchased Copy of ZA for WinXP is Version 7.0 it will Only Install on WinXP.. you will need Version 7.1 or Vers 8.0 to be able to Install it on Vista..

4.) However, if your WinXP version of ZoneAlarm is version 8.0, then it will also be able to be installed on VISTA..

5.) one caveat, or precaution.. if the License is a SINGLE USER License, then ZoneAlarm will have to be Removed from WinXP, before the Same License can be used on ZoneAlarm for Vista..

6.) if you have a Three User License then it can be used at the same time on Both XP and Vista..
