    Default Outlook Express freezing

Outlook Express kept on freezing and only Ctrl-Alt-del would eventually free it. Sometimes even that did not work and I had to turn off and re-boot. I tried uninstalling ZoneAlarm Pro 7.0.483 and this completely solved the problem. I have Windows XP Home. Can anyone help?

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro

    the bard,
Is your Windows XP home updated to SP2?
    SP3?

    thebard,
    Have you reinstalled
    ZoneAlarm Pro 7.0.483?
Is the spam/junk filter turned on?
If so, try turning it off - does it clear the Outlook Express freezing problem.
I had this issue of Outlook Express freezing up/crashing
in ZAISS 7.0.483.000 and the only solution for me was to turn off the junk filter and create rules in Outlook Express for email filtering.

Its a question of whether I do without Zonealarm and use Windows firewall, or uninstall a very effective spam filter (Spamfighter) and use Windows rules.

    the bard,
On configuring Spamfighter to work with Outlook Express and Outlook as well, do your ZAPro settings match the recommended Spamfighter configuration here:http://www.spamfighter.com/faq_firew...ealarmfree.aspFindley

Thanks I have done that and see how it goes. I could only find Office10 or 12 and not Outlook.

    the bard,
    You're welcome.Windows XP Pro has Outlook;
Windows XP Home edition does not have Outlook.
