Default where is Internet STOP button?

I've upgraded to v. 8 -- but now can't find the STOP button to stop internet access. Do I now have to resort to pulling the ethernet plug to do this? This was a very useful function for temporarily blocking internet access. I often used it before opening suspect email to stop them from "calling home".

hmmm -- why would one think to look there, when it was in a very prominent position on the open program window? They have significantly changed the interface and it looked like that function had been lost. I, for one, would like to see it returned to also be on an open program window.
