I recently installed ZoneAlarm and ever since whenever IE crashes and I try to end the process, dumprep.exe kicks off and takes 100% of the CPU. I need to kill dumprep before the crashed IE process dissapears from the process list.
I did a clean re-install of Windows XP and loaded on all my software except ZoneAlarm with no problems to IE. As soon as I reinstalled it, the dumprep issues started again.
I've done some research on it, and disabled error logging which has fixed the issue. From what I've read, it looks as if dumprep only creates the error report and serves no other function. Eventhough I've never checked the error logs in the past and never send data to microsoft I'd prefer not to have error logging disabled because it shows zonealarm is clashing with my setup which has previously been find and all applications rarely crash.
Is anyone aware of this issue with internet security suite 8? And are there any fixes which will allow me to turn error logging back on?
